PE

FreshSteps aims to provide a high quality physical education curriculum that inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities. Whilst the curriculum is composed of a wide range of activities, pupils are strongly encouraged to develop a comprehensive mastery of all of the core skills and techniques required.

The ethos is such that pupils are challenged to become physically confident in a way that supports their health and fitness. Staff organise lessons in order that pupils can be physically active for sustained periods of time. The need to lead healthy, active lifestyles is impressed upon students with the aim being to encourage the students themselves to accept responsibility for their own lifelong health and fitness.

The school has recently invested in the sporting facilities at the school. We now have a Sports Arena, comprising of an indoor sports pitch and a gym complete with equipment to improve agility and strength. In the summer term, we aim to develop our outdoor space into an area for outdoor PE such as football, tennis and netball depending on the season.

Enrichment activities include boxing at Edmonton Eagles Boxing Club, Horse-Riding at Lee Valley Riding Centre and Football and Multi-sports with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation who currently sponsor the school's sports sessions.
